We have divided our delivery network into regional zones so that delivery costs are automatically calculated by our system according to the weight of the load.

How Our Firewood Delivery Works

We've kept our delivery process straightforward.

1. Choose Your Firewood

Browse our range of seasoned firewood, braai wood, hardwood and other fire products.

Choose the products and quantities you need and add them to your cart.

2. System Calculates Delivery Cost By Order Weight

At checkout, the system will automatically tally up weights then present a cost based on the order size.

Our delivery zones are based on the major areas of Cape Town and the surrounding Western Cape.

If you're unsure which region applies to you, contact us before placing your order and we'll point you in the right direction.

3. Complete Your Payment

Your order is only released for processing once payment has cleared.

Card payments and other electronic payment methods must reflect successfully before we can schedule your delivery.

For bank or EFT payments, instant payment methods generally allow us to process orders faster than standard transfers where funds still need to clear.

4. We Schedule Your Delivery

Please allow 24–48 hours for delivery bookings to be processed once payment has cleared.

Our team will confirm the relevant delivery information and work your order into the appropriate regional route.

5. Your Firewood Arrives

Our delivery team will bring your order to the property and, where applicable, stack your firewood according to our standard stacking guidelines.

We'll keep in touch with you prior to delivery so you remain updated.

Firewood Delivery Rates

What Determines Your Delivery Cost?

We keep our delivery charges as reasonable as possible while covering the real cost of getting heavy loads of firewood from our yard to your property.

Delivery pricing takes factors such as the weight of the order into consideration.

The heavier the load, the more the delivery may cost.

Your applicable delivery fee will be shown during the ordering process.

Please note: Delivery charges cover more than fuel alone. Heavy firewood loads also involve vehicle running costs, loading and offloading, labour and general vehicle wear.

When Will My Firewood Arrive?

Our Standard Delivery Window

Our normal delivery window is 5–7 business days after payment has cleared.

During quieter periods, your order may arrive sooner. During peak winter demand and other exceptionally busy periods, delivery times can sometimes extend.

We'd rather give you a realistic delivery window than promise a specific day and disappoint you.

Once your order has been scheduled, we'll provide an indication of when your delivery can be expected. You are welcome to chat with us to confirm if delivery will arrive during the morning or afternoon.

Delivery Times

We don't generally provide an exact arrival time because our drivers are completing multiple deliveries throughout the day.

Traffic, loading times, previous deliveries and access at various properties or estates can all affect our route and scheduling.

We'll keep you updated where possible on the day and let you know when your delivery is on its way.

Payment & Order Processing

When Does My Delivery Get Scheduled?

All electronic payments must clear before an order can move into our delivery schedule.

This includes:

Credit and debit card payments
EFT and bank transfers
Instant EFT
Other electronic payment methods

Instant EFT or immediately cleared payments to our banking account are generally processed sooner, as there is no waiting period for the funds to reflect.

Please allow 24–48 hours for delivery booking administration after payment has cleared.

Delivery Day: What We Need From You

A smooth delivery starts with a little preparation at home.

Someone Needs To Be Available

Please make sure that someone is available at the property to receive the delivery.

The person receiving the order should know:

What wood has been ordered
Where the wood should go
Whether the wood should remain bagged or be un-bagged
Where the stacking area is and what is expected
Any special access instructions

If nobody is available when our team arrives, a second delivery charge may apply if another trip is required.

Please Clear The Delivery Area

Before we arrive, please make sure the driveway, parking area and route to the stacking location are clear.

Our vehicles need to park as close as reasonably possible to where the wood will be unloaded to save our teams time.

Please remove or move anything that could make carrying and stacking the wood difficult, including:

Vehicles
Garden furniture
Building materials
Bins
Gates or other obstructions
Other items blocking access

The easier it is for our team to reach the stacking point, the quicker we can complete your delivery.

Tell Us About Difficult Access

Some properties are simply more complicated to access than others.

Please tell us before delivery if your property has:

A steep driveway or hill
A narrow access road
A gated complex
A security estate
Security access requirements
Multiple flights of stairs
Limited parking
Restricted vehicle access
A long distance between the parking area and where the wood needs to go

This allows us to plan the delivery properly and avoid surprises when the delivery vehicle arrives.

Keep Pets Secure

For everyone's safety, please keep dogs and other animals safely indoors or behind a secure barrier while our delivery team is on the property.

Firewood deliveries involve heavy loads, vehicles and people carrying wood through unfamiliar areas.

If a member of our team is injured because an animal has not been properly secured, the resulting costs may be charged to the customer.

Firewood Stacking

Standard Stacking Is Included

We don't believe you should have to buy firewood and then immediately figure out how to move a mountain of it yourself.

Our standard delivery includes stacking of bags or loose firewood within approximately 30 metres of where our delivery vehicle can safely park.

For bagged firewood, we can also remove the wood from its bags and stack it at no additional charge but only when requested, provided the job falls within our standard stacking conditions.

Please make sure the area is ready before our team arrives.

When Additional Stacking Charges Apply

Some stacking jobs require substantially more time and labour than a normal delivery.

An additional stacking charge may apply when:

More than 30 metres

The firewood needs to be carried more than approximately 30m from where the delivery vehicle can park.

Large loose-wood quantities

More than 2,000 loose pieces need to be individually handled and stacked.

Large hardwood loads

A hardwood delivery exceeds 1 ton and requires extensive additional handling.

Large bag loads with Un-bagging

A bag delivery exceeds 50 bags and requires additional labour and time.

Multiple flights of stairs

The delivery requires our team to carry significant quantities of wood up or down multiple flights of stairs.

Additional stacking charges will be confirmed where applicable before the delivery is completed and may start from a flat rate of R250 or more depending on the additional time or labour needed.

Winter is naturally our busiest time of year, so we recommend ordering ahead rather than waiting until the first cold weekend arrives.

During periods of exceptionally high demand, delivery windows may become longer than our standard timeframe.

Public holidays and the festive season can also affect our delivery schedule.

Our holiday operating hours and delivery arrangements will be communicated closer to the time and may differ from our normal weekday schedule.

If you know you're going to need a large quantity of wood, ordering a week early is always the safest option.
