Red Gum Wood Cape Town

Red Gum wood, also known as Red river gum or Rooi Bloekom, comes from Eucalyptus camaldulensis, an Australian eucalyptus tree species now widespread across South Africa. It is highly valued in Cape Town for vigorous, hot flames and dependable warmth, making it a local favourite for fireplaces, closed-combustion stoves and pizza ovens. Red Gum burns more briskly than the heavier hardwoods and leaves a modest coal bed for cooking and braaiing, therefore making it a great hybrid solution.
